"Walk and Rock" is a bit misleading- the Walkathon and Battle of the Bands are only part of the day's festivities.
Food and drinks will also be available for sale throughout the day, and proceeds from these sales will contribute to the total amount raised for The Jimmy Fund.
Walk and Rock also features a Chinese auction, with all proceeds benefiting The Jimmy Fund. Auctions in previous years have included New England Patriots tickets, a Roomba robot vacuum, and even airline tickets!
NEW IN 2008: Are you a fan of The Dropkick Murphys? Flogging Molly? Guster? Four Year Strong? Well you're in luck, as we'll be having a Chinese auction for merchandise signed by these bands as well.
Several activities, both family- and teen-oriented, will be available throughout the day. In the past, Walk and Rock has featured a rock climbing wall, moonwalk, dunk tank, temporary Henna tattoos, and carnival-style games.
We greatly appreciate any and all food and entertainment-related donations. Due to the size of East Park, we will have room for vendors to set up booths if desired. If you represent a vendor or other organization and are interested in setting up a booth at Walk and Rock, please email walkandrock@worcesteracademy.org and we will gladly discuss this possibility.
